Just thought I'd throw in my quick two cents here. I appreciate the efforts being made by Adobe to shrink these file sizes down. That's one hundred percent the name of the game in the next few years.
I work in the telecommunications industry and as soon as we find a way to create some extra bandwidth, someone finds a way to devour it. The copper lines are being multiplexed to the max, and every megabyte transferred pulls more energy from the power grid. But it's just beginning folks. A Blockbuster movie for Mom and Dad while little Joey plays Dirt Bike through his Sony interactive system game server and teenage Tracy surfs around choosing a Univeristy to attend upon graduation. All over the same line. Delivery space is shrinking- Monitors are growing. Anyone ready to start a death pool on gif, jpegs and bitmaps?
